Planning a Stitching Wire Line Upgrade

What to assess before integrating precision layer winding and automatic tying modules with an existing flattening mill.

Stitching wire production equipment operating in a workshop

Existing stitching-wire lines can sometimes retain a suitable flattening mill while adding downstream winding and tying equipment. This is an integration project, not a plug-and-play installation.

Review the existing machine first

The mill structure, operating speed, control method and electrical drawings should be reviewed before defining the upgrade scope. Photos and operating video help establish the available space, material flow and mechanical interfaces.

Define the control-system work

New modules need coordinated signals and safe operation with the existing mill. Depending on the current equipment, this may require control-system modification or a new control system for the integrated section.

Agree the scope before quotation

Confirm which equipment remains in service, which modules are supplied, and which interfaces are included. Actual output depends on material, process conditions and the final agreed configuration, so it should be verified during project review rather than assumed from a reference layout.
